Combined MPG: 238 Miles Per Charge
MSRP: $37,495 ($29,995 after Federal Tax Credit)
Fun Factor: 7/10 Like most EVs, it's peppy, but won't win any races. This is a great car for those looking for a full zero-emissions commuter.
Performance: 8/10 200hp + instant torque will make this a fun little commuter. It won't win any fashion shows, but it is clearly a 'nice' little car.
Practicality: 9/10 The long range makes this a clear winner in the EV category, but you still won't be driving across the country without majore pre-planning.
With an all-electric range of 238 miles, the Bolt EV is a great option for a little-longer commute, but it comes at a price. Even after Federal rebates this little 4-door will run you nearly $30k, still it's much less than a Tesla and gives you more range. Unlike most tiny Electric Vehicles, the Bolt includes seating for four PLUS ample cargo room. The fully loaded model includes heated leather seats, heated steering wheel, and a surround view camera. For a serious all-electric commuter for much less than the flagship Tesla, this may be just the ticket!
