Here at Buck The Commute, we generally prefer a Manual Transmission for our commuter cars. It's more efficient (in most cases), simpler to repair, and most of all more fun!

The YouTube Channel Learn Engineering prepared a very detailed video explaining technical differences between Automatic and Manual transmissions. It's well worth the 7 minute viewing time =)

From the factory, this 5 year old commuter car arrived with 197hp via the 2.0L 4-Cylinder naturally aspirated engine. The i-VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) system in this car exists solely to help increase economy by hydraulically shifting between two camshaft profiles.
